…is a very cool phrase. I just need to say it. It’s alot like this:

The verb. To convince. I guess that’s my topic for tonight. The word that’s going to shred my conscience for the next few days until I’ll be taking that flight to Indonesia next week. I’ll spare you the details but it’s all about trust. Convincing somebody isn’t easy, even a 5 yr old knows that. But the biggest trick is know where to draw the line between knowing when your effort is making a difference or when you’ve fallen to endless circle of misstrust.
Then I guess the next question is, when or if you know that your effort is pointless, what do you do next? It’s not always like in the movies where the protagonist give up on convincing the antagonist using words, and start exchanging blows… “I see words do not work with you anymore… let’s settle this using our blades!! HyyaaaaaH!!!!!!!”
Well, I suppose there’s an unknown number of different ways to answer it; but I believe one of the best decision is strengthen your resolve on your belief, make a full stop, and let the other party react to you – instead of reacting to his defenses. That way, you will switch to a defense position instead of offense, and that way is the more neutral way.
That’s what I belief anyway. I think I’ll stop there.
…closer to Paradise. What does that mean? I dont know what does it mean. But I do know the following trailer is funny….
I need to watch this.
wowzer! Let’s see how this works!!
I mean, I’m away off the weekend, turns out too short (as usual) and probably can’t be said to be the brightest weekend I ever had…. but I decided. I fight on. Fight to protect the ones I care for. Fight to protect my believes. Fight to protect who I am.
Monday afternoon. Tired. Hungry. I thought… listening for some Audioslave would be awesome. Ended up with this video.
That is the coolest.
ah, well, looks like I’ll be in Toronto again this weekend. Again? Well, I shouldn’t say that… it’s been awhile since I’ve been there. My niece probably missed me alot already (or totally forgotten about me – she’s 6)(will be 7 next week!!! Better not forget it!), as well as the siblings. Ah the good ole’ siblings…
Somehow I dont really feel like going to Toronto this weekend. I dunno, probably spoiled too much sleeping in the last few weekends. I do enjoy sleeping you know. Ah well, there are good things in Toronto too! Like… food…
Ok, I’m catching on my train soon, but before I go… Windows Dreamscene is freakin cool. Yes, you need to have Vista Ultimate as well as a beefy videocard to boot, but if you do… oh my GAWD… please turn it on!
There’s a limited option so far (I tried it out just now because I heard M$ released a couple new ones few days ago), but you can use your own .MPEG videos too!
Also, try checking out 3rd party dreamscene add-ons like ones found under Wincustomize.com (forgot the name); the program enables you to download [.dream] files (which is basically an optimized MPEG). There’s a bunch of ‘em and lots of people submitted their works as well, so if you put a little effort, there’s quite a few options!
For now though, I’ll be happy with this firey red-orange-plasma oozing as my wallpaper
no 3rd party stuff, this one came from Windows Update.
Yum.
Sort off…
Changed the header page (I took that shot myself. Looks decent.), add a couple artlines, clean up the background. Not too shabby I suppose.
Ah… time to bed then.
…of exercising. Good gawd, apparently I *am* that senile. Apparently 30 push-ups after 8 years lack of proper training means hell. Yes, I was exercising my Iaido on Monday, so there’s that factor of my muscle hasn’t recovered properly, but COME ON. It’s been 3 days.
Back in high school, Mountaineering club has this a special type of “punishment”. If you make a mistake or failed on any kind, you do push-ups. Since high-schools in Indonesia are 3 years term, first-years do 10, soph. do 20, seniors do 30. Mix that with the fact it is a Catholic all boys school that in some funny way promotes ”discipline through violence” (in a good way)(sort of…) we made a LOT of mistakes, lol. Hence, I spent my senior years treating 30 push-ups like nothing. I didn’t break a sweat.
Well, this morning I think broke more than just a sweat.
Wonder how am I gonna explain to my boss the fact that I can barely move my arms…
Oh god and I even plan to do this again tomorrow. What was I thinking?
Alrite, here’s a few things to post today. Or rather… to remind myself.
1. Do 30 push-ups every morning (oh shut up!)
2. Change the default picture above (it’s nice, but I need something more “unique”)
3. Remind everybody I have a picture gallery at www.pecelayam.com/twg
Okay, scratch number 3. 1 down, 2 to go.
Yes, yes, here we go again. This is my… umm…. 3rd attempt at a blog? I promise to post stuff as often as possible, hopefully I can keep this one alive just long enough hahaha.
So for today…
What’s up today?
Nothing I suppose. Oh, I have a Facebook account if that can start anything
Oh, and my old blog: http://www.pecelayam.com/blog_old/
