The verb. To convince. I guess that’s my topic for tonight. The word that’s going to shred my conscience for the next few days until I’ll be taking that flight to Indonesia next week. I’ll spare you the details but it’s all about trust. Convincing somebody isn’t easy, even a 5 yr old knows that. But the biggest trick is know where to draw the line between knowing when your effort is making a difference or when you’ve fallen to endless circle of misstrust.

Then I guess the next question is, when or if you know that your effort is pointless, what do you do next? It’s not always like in the movies where the protagonist give up on convincing the antagonist using words, and start exchanging blows… “I see words do not work with you anymore… let’s settle this using our blades!! HyyaaaaaH!!!!!!!”

Well, I suppose there’s an unknown number of different ways to answer it; but I believe one of the best decision is strengthen your resolve on your belief, make a full stop, and let the other party react to you – instead of reacting to his defenses. That way, you will switch to a defense position instead of offense, and that way is the more neutral way.

That’s what I belief anyway. I think I’ll stop there. :)
