…just coz I’m too lazy to make a post
oh, oh, here’s another one……..
…from Toronto. ugh. very, very tired. Not sure what I can blame that on, from the 2.5hr driving or the fact such a drive commence at freakin 8.30AM Sunday morning. But then again it’s probably worth of having a car for a week coming to my busy moving weekend next week…
Here’s the question of the day though. What is unconditional love and how do you recognize one?
Current favourite artists: Coldplay (new album is awesome!) and OneRepublic. Yeah! Good stuff…
Current mood: I-wanna-get-away-from-it-all mood…. which coincidentally related to today’s ODB. Yeah I didn’t go to church this week. (nor last, but lets not go there)

that’s bloody insane… excuse the language, but… damnit. LOL
Pfft… then again, speaking of laptop… these are actually quite nice as well! (And probably more realistically affordable)
(oh, and check out the gallery too!)
Wow, so FF3 is officially out! After a bit of testing and whatnot, I can testify that it IS a GREAT browser! Sure, personal experience still forces me to still stick with IE7 (hey, hey! quite your boo-ing!), but this is definitely a great alternative for me, probably the messiah for those M$ haters out there hehe… Initial response is definitely positive with me being first hand on waiting on the queue for hours, pressing that stupid F5 buttons a million time until a ”friend” showed a little backdoor……
The response is fast, the little “amazing bar” is definitely cool, and plugins (Flash/java/etc) seems to have no issue whatsoever. The only issue I’ve found is that my main site
FF3 seems to ignore the <center> tag in the CSS lol…..
Ok ok, I’ll stop talking… here you go! http://spreadfirefox.com/
Coming up next is a nifty little Trojan that doesnt infect your computer…. no sir… it infects your router
Biggest news of the day, is of course the unveiling of Nvidia’s new monster (and its little brother) GTX260 and GTX280 video cards.
As reviews are breaking out left and right after the NDA’s release, I would like to summarize a few points:
1. it’s the fastest single card of the planet.
2. it’s the most expensive single card of the planet.
3. it’s NOT the fastest single slot card of the planet – which oddly cost $150 less – at medium to high video settings. It shines brightest at ultra-high-pop-your-eyes settings.
4. you need BOTH the 8-pin and 6-pin PCIEx power connectors from your PSU. Dont have them? Then don’t even think of running these puppies.
Jeez you guys are fast lol. Not even a few hours I’m done uploading everything and 2 folks msg me on MSN and another 2 dropped a line in the Guestbook! I didn’t want to publish it to the world or wutever since I haven’t put anything in the Bits Bytes part. I mean, how did you guys checked on my site anyway? heheheh
But I do appreciate the visit and comments though
Here’s another one before I go to bed. Wait, make that two.
1. Like the kite in John Newton’s poem, “Before cutting any string, make sure it’s not one that’s holding you up”.
2. Imagine the level of importance of the following two news: a deadly major prison break that crushed what the allied (I was going to say Americans, but heck, its Canadians this time) has worked for for the last few years and can only do worse to the takeover war-on-terror, which has been and will, claims more innocent lives… OR a new scientific discovery that proves that eating overcooked/burnt food can actually increase the chance of Cancer due to their increase of toxic molecules.
In today’s newspaper, the prison break will definitely cover a good half of the front page, while the scientific discovery will be discussed on page 15 or so. If they’re lucky.
Now, those are exagerrated number (damn Blog got no spell-check lol), but I kinda paused for a few second and think of the immediate impact of those two news to my local societies…
Well I’m sleepy and going to bed now, but that comparison had really planted itself on my brain for the whole weekend. It could’ve just been me being a little paranoia, but… come on. Is the purpose of today’s newspaper is pure entertainment? Is today’s society prefer to worry (or entertained) and dwell more on the seemingly-popular past events rather than investing the time and money on a smaller scale news that might answer our issues for a better future? Note that I’m not blaming the press as many would say the press strive to deliver what the readers want to read.
There’s a lot of reason to it, and plenty of discussion and arguments I’m sure…
But it really bugged me how by not looking at the big picture, it suddenly became natural to blindly accept the normality of subjectively absorbing information that should’ve been prioritized better, y’know?
LOL I hope that makes sense.
PHEW!
Ok, a few things added today. First of, pecelayam.com (version 4 by now I think lol) is up and running. Link clicky on the right sidebar! The reason I’m so glad is this is actually my first true website where I go down and dirty with the codes.
“What? Why? What do you mean?”
Well, with most websites, thanks to the Internet, many are what I like to call “Frankensite”. With so many different web editor these days, one can simply pull up a ready-to-go template and start plugging away the text. With little modification here and there, it is perfectly legitimate to say “hey, I build this website!”. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with them, no no. The easier it is for people to access these technology, the better it is for the community to grow; so I’m all for it!
More advanced players would actually poke around with the codes. Most people do it for the visual aesthetic, some do it for security, the rest… just get a little curious. Oh, ok, and some do it for work
But many of these people, for the sake of efficiency and self-education really, are the main reason I created the term Frankensite. Again, nothing wrong with them (maybe I should think of a different word). Heck, I’m one of them! We tend to use pre-made codes, modify it a little (usually a requirement for most free scripts anyway), install, and voila. In less than 5 minutes, with basic knowledge of editing text and uploading files to your webserver you can have a SQL-based-PHP-powered-CSS styled-RSS-linked script. Wow. All that for a pretty looking blog. Invest an hour or two just browsing, and you can literally teach yourself some PERL and Javascript codes to lock-down your website in ways you didn’t even think possible. And I haven’t even touched on Flash…
And you wonder why there’s such a huge boom on websites in the last decade?
I just watched Evan Almighty. I’ve seen it before, yes, but thought of seeing it again; probably because I was thinking of going to church tomorrow… err.. today…
Then I remembered why I love that movie. How do you change the world? Well according to the movie, its not really about building an ark. In fact, it’s not really about the big final result. It’s about where to start. And it starts with an Act of Random Kindness. An ARK. One ARK at a time.
Now is that neat or what?
And for the more Christian of us, here’s a question: When you pray for God asking for something. Does he just gave it to you, or does he provide an opportunity for you to achieve it?
Now that’s what I call a bullseye.
G’nite folks. And happy Sunday.
It’s the movie that came out like, a month ago or something? Yeah. Watch it. What’s it about? Let me sum to the best of my capabilities…
Politics + American + War + and a buttload of sarcasm humour = fun.
Well, unless you’re a true falsely lead, confused American patriot who thinks Bush jr. is the smartest person in the world, then no… don’t watch this.
Yes. Just watch it. It’s THAT good. I hadn’t had that much fun watching a movie for so long…
is very beautiful………
Courage is not the absence of fear—it is the mastery of it.
I took that from today’s Daily Bread online that I actually rarely read… but today I felt like a little… “lost”. Somewhere between confused and scared and downright stubborn… Lo and behold, heh.
Yes indeed it has been!
Wow… seems like after the vacation, life kind of stopped for 2 weeks, accumulate all the pain (with interest), and BAM…
Well, no pain, no gain. And that is true.
So what’s today? Ah… let’s not go into too much details (where’s my aspirins?), but what’s cute is I watched Kung-Fu Panda yesterday. THAT was good.
Work is good. Play is good. Life’s good, actually, minus a few little details. But that’s just the way it is. The sooner you accept that fact, the easier it will get to go through them. Just like a saying I picked up in Kungfu Panda yesterday…
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mistery… but today… is a gift. That’s why we call them present.
It came from when Po (the Panda) was stressed out too much with what was happening the day before, and he was so scared facing tomorrow. And the master just mentioned that sentence to calm him down and to believe in himself; to have more faith in yourself.
It’s not by no mean to ignore tomorrow or to forget history, but it’s rather to appreciate today and calm oneself so one can learn more of the history, and have better plan to solve tomorrow’s mistery.
Maybe just going back to another old saying would fit…
Too much of anything is never a good thing.
Aaahh… I’m so tired for today. I guess it’ll be it for now. No worries, I’ll post again as soon as possible
