See how the gaming world isnt such a bad idea…

sort of…
Yes, it’s been a hectic last few weeks. From moving into a new apartment in a new city, new office, new car (w00t!), new plans for the future (lets not dwell on this), new new new… heck, even new TV!! I’ve had Internet connection for about 2 weeks now, but haven’t logged to either AgeOfConan nor LOTRO!! OMG!!
That being said, I realized how the last time I had a car it sucked most of my time. Great. Those 2 aforementioned games are MMO, y’know? You know, the games that actually NEEDS YOU TO PAY MONTHLY!
Oh well. I need to get back on them. (yes, I know most people would react by unsubscribing them, but I’m too much of a gamer that way) LOTRO had bk14 released, AoC have a couple map releases, and I even reinstalled Call of Duty 4!
Then I got the TV… oh yes, my first HDTV! It’s “only” a 32-inch Sony Bravia, but the image quality is superb, and connectivity and interface is Sony-quality. Took me 2.5 hour to drive (with the new car!
) to the nearest Source store and pick up a few stuff ($75 worth of stuff!) to hook up the computer to it, but it’s worth every seconds and every cent spent. Now my computer dual-screened 1680×1050 on the Acer 21″ and 1920×1080 (thats 1080p) on the Bravia. Boy, the 300 movie on 1080p never looks so good… Now my 750Gb drive is brim-filled with HD movies…
Oh, and the car. Of course, the car. It’s a 97 Accord 4 door LX, which is generally a family sedan, a farcry from a speedster with the 4-speed auto and 2.2L SOHC engine… but… nothing like a good tweak or two can fix! By no means I’m turning this guy into a Fast&Furious machine, but a little “oomph!” incase I need to pass somebody on the highway, or a little audioFx to turn head on Queen St. in Toronto… wouldn’t be bad, no? Comes along the Dynomax Ultra Flo SS muffler and AEM Cold Air Intake…
And that’s it! I’ll be out of town again next weekend, so I only really have this weekend to play around! Gosh, and I thought by having a car you get more free time…
Oh, and before I forgot, here’s a cool link on… how to be a g33k….
Geek or no geek, it’s definitely worth the read.
Stay tune, I’ll be posting more stuff now!
