As most people know, most MMO (short for Massively Multiplayer Online; such as Wold of Warcraft or Lord Of The Rings: Online) games have a close Internet community, centering around forums and message boards. Other than the common complaints and appreciation of a certain part of the game, many discussions are focused on strategies and planning for certain ‘boss fights’. Other times people like to share their stories and chat about off-topics in their lives. And every other times, topics can sometimes blender into some of the most interesting read I’ve ever found in the Internet… such as this one… (some jargons may sound weird to you, but MMO players would definitely have no trouble)

Strat for putting my son to bed:

Thought this might be useful to some of you out there. Keep in mind, there are many strats, this is just one of them. YMMV.

Preparation:
This is a long fight, so be prepared to spend 30 minutes to an hour on it. Bring plenty of Hope tokens, such as beer, or, preferably, Jack Daniels. You’ll also need plenty of Patience pots.

Phase 1:
Initiate the fight by approaching the boy and informing him it is bedtime. Be prepared to back away quickly, as he will usually begin screaming and pounding his fists on the ground. He will do this several times throughout the fight. The key phrase to watch for is, “I’m not tired!” If he says this, immediately move away, as he performs an area of effect attack that could damage your legs and will almost certainly cause permanent inner ear damage.

The key to this phase is to get the boy into the bed as quickly as possible. The longer it takes to get him to bed, the less likely the bed will be able to hold aggro. Use the best Threatening attacks you have. Once he is in bed, you want to lay down with him and read a story. Take this time to conserve your energy, as you will need it for the rest of the fight. After the story, hit him with a big hug, cast an “I love you” at him, fire off a kiss goodnight, then quickly turn the lights off and shut the door. If you time it just right, it will put a stun debuff on him which will keep him sated for enough time for you to prepare for the next phase.

There is another key phrase to watch for. Periodically the bed will lose aggro, and he will leave his room, saying “Daddy, I need …”, at which point he will come straight for you and drain half your energy. There is absolutely nothing you can do to stop this, so don’t even try. more…

…well, actually, Canadian… :)

Throughout my somewhat quarter-of-a-century life, I’ve seen the highs, lows, and disgusting side of humanity… Most times I just shake my head or roll my life and goes “oh well… namanya juga manusia…” (which translated to “oh well, they’re just humans” from Indonesian) and that’s the end of it. Other times I would feel ashamed being a human being, learning all the cruel and immoral things humans can do, such as the Mumbai terrorism event that happened yesterday.

But every ever so rarely… I would stand up and say, “now that’s how people should act” and became proud of being human. Well, not just human, but a person.

Such as when I read this article about a good person in Alberta, Canada, that would willingly spend some time and effort (and concurrently, money) to help a total strange.

Heh… I guess we’re that close to Christmas, eh? :)

Today’s the 15th.. and I’m feeling lonely :(

Is it really that hard to go through each and every day, thinking how can you make your loved one smile?

Yes it is.

But actually it’s harder yet when you fail.

Well, there you have it. It’s out. Intel’s latest and greatest apparently is the latest and greatest indeed. There are a bunch of reviews out there if you’re interested, but in a nutshell, it’s fast. Taking anywhere between 50% to 100% increase of the previous generation, it’s deemed to be the new Core2Duo.

Coming in 3 flavours, the youngest (and cheapest) of the family also proves to be highly overclockable as well; aiming to replace the legendary Q6600 G0. Priced around $300, $600, and $900, Intel will definitely conquer the market once more even when AMD’s releasing its 45nm production next year. (afterall, it’s the same family, just smaller die size to conserve energy and a wee bit of performance increase)

The biggest issue I see is the rest of the package. Requiring a new socket, Nehalem forces its new adopters to replace the motherboard. Some early adopters of DDR3 RAM are able to re-use the parts, but the price has really gone down, PLUS the new trend seems to be triple-channels, no more duals. Indeed, the motherboard is the issue, pitching at $250 the CHEAPEST, hitting $400 for the true high ends.

Well, guess I’m not getting one set up anytime soon……. unless Boxing Day…. hmmm……

Why must one be close to death before they feel the greatness of life?

Why must one loose something before they can truly appreciate it?

Is it our inheritance of curse that won’t allow us to see the complete beauty of an object without any comparison?

Are all human born with this trait?

See the world. See the people that lives within it.

It is beautiful.

See it before it’s too late.
