Just another repetive, yet innovative, idea from yet another university… Yes, the idea of reforming motion (mechanic or kinetic) energy to a different form (say, electricity) is nothing new. The technology to generate an output much more efficient than the input, that’s great. The example of using a hamster to power your home? Freaky.

But one of the comment on Engadget mention the Matrix and I couldn’t help myself to draw the similarities and laugh my butt off :D

Y’know, the movie The Matrix? Yeah, but instead of robots farming humans as bio-mechanical batteries, it’s us, humans, using hamster…… And why do you think it would work? Because hamster don’t have the capability of processing enough thoughts and logic to revolt against us, their human overlords…..

….for now.

As the year started, so is the court for Pirate-Bay marches on. I find it interesting how two contradicting point of views can be dissected so obviously when you’re just the spectator, yet it’s a challenge to wrap it around your brain if you’re the spectator.

I like Bento, I like Japanese food, I like Japanese culture altogether and I LOVE food….  so to have a Bento that uses sci-fi and anime theme, is like… a dream come true!

No seriously, a game should be just a game. But some people tend to… over-analyze… abit… as Ctrl-Alt-Del animate it:

No, not the car. It’s IBM new computer that can calculate 20 petaflops. That’s 20 quadrillion mathematical process per second. It’s powered by 1.6 million cores and 1.6 petabytes of memory.

Can’t wrap that around your brain? Here’s how IBM explains it: If each of the 6.7 billion people on earth had a hand calculator and worked together on a calculation 24 hours per day, 365 days a year, it would take 320 years to do what Sequoia will do in one hour.

I’m telling you… Skynet is coming………………………….

Hello!

Heh, long time no post….? Well, things’ been busy and what not. But I thought I don’t want to let this blog die (like its predecessors lol!), so here’s a couple interesting read for today:

Darth Vader Cake: If/when I have a daughter, she will get that cake.

http://i.gizmodo.com/5145139/darth-vader-gets-pregnant-has-a-girl-and-a-cake

Blind Hacker. No, seriously, he’s legally blind and he’s phone-hacking…

USB Cake. More cakes! But seriously, the guy went to the bakery, told the bakerer (do I spell this right?) he want’s a design off a picture inside the USB key… and end up having the design of the key itself.
