More Bio…
I am an Indonesian who was born and raised in Jakarta with a passion in technology and travel. An odd combination perhaps, but imagine seeing the world and discover new things, both ancient and high-tech along the way! I moved to Canada in 2000 to continue my education after I completed high school, and after graduating from Computer Engineering in 2005 I started my current position. It’s only the beginning of my career, so I’m definitely excited to see its growth (and where it will take me!) in the future!
I consider myself quite the enthusiast on the latest in technology, which covers everything from hardware development to software evolution; but it’s not necessarily all technical! When it comes to Case-mods and warranty-destroyer overclocks, I accept nothing less than hand-picked components for my PC. PC Gaming is also a huge part of my life and I enjoy anything from FPS to MMO to RTS. I played National-level teams in CAL and TWL on several FPS titles, and can easily spend continuous hours in an MMO (provided snack and beer within reach) over the weekend. On the other end of the spectrum, I love jogging or just walking in nature-path, taking pictures, and even mountain climbing. I used to belong in the mountaineering club in high school and climbed over 6 mountains in Indonesia. I also compete in wall-climbing competitions and forest trekking.
Going down the priority list, I have 3 other hobbies. Food, Anime, and sleep. Please, allow me to explain… I’m very curious in trying new recipees, and love to eat exotic and delicious delicacies! Aside from the occassional experiments in my kitchen, I love Japanese food, Chinese food (REAL chinese food), French and other European cuisine, Indonesian food, and middle-south Americans. No, not North Americans for some undisclosed reasons… Speaking of Japanese, I’m also an avid manga and anime fan. Though not as far as being called an Otaku, I spend alot of time and money (and bandwith) on keeping up to date on many Anime series and Manga chapters.
Last but not least, is sleeping. Yes, sleeping. Some call it relaxing, chilling, dozing off… Due to my unique talent of sleeping pretty much anywhere anytime, it feels like an escape out of reality (hey, it’s safer than drugs or alcohol). And other than the basic requirement of human body, sleeping is actually very useful in many situations and condition! (and hazardous in some…)
Ok, that should be enough for now.
