What is that name all about?
Pecel Ayam is a food. An Indonesian deep fried chicken with chilli paste served with steamed rice (sometimes coconut rice) and raw veggies. Originates in eastern Java province, it’s now widely spread across Indonesia mainly in Java island. The emphasis of the food, contrary to initial observation, is not the chicken nor the rice; it’s actually the chilly paste, or the “sambal”. Original pecel ayam doesn’t use just any kind of sambal, but usually some very special top-of-the-line sambal with the perfect combination of spices and preparation. Enjoyed alone, it’s a unique experience by itself, but mixed together with the chicken and coconut rice, it’s pure bliss.
So why is it the name of the blog? What does it have to do with technology or gaming?
Well… nothing. But it does have something to do with me. Simply put, I love it. It may not be my favourite food, but I love it. That should be enough, eh? The longer version is somewhere along the line my high school period which was quite the highlight of my life so far. During that time, one of the most famous, delicious, convenient spot to grab lunch after class is well, a little street food stall (warung) that served pecel ayam as their “signature dish”.
After finishing high school and moving to Canada and spending more time on the Internet (Indonesia only had 56k dial-up connection), I needed a nickname. Something uniquely myself, hinted with a little mistery, and catchy.
Well what the blog is all about then??
Well if you still can’t put 2 on 2 2gether by now, it’s about me. Whatever I feel like posting. If you still don’t know what kind of stuff I like to post then you might need to check out the bio page.
To be completely honest though, other than thinking that I felt like owning my own little space in this huge virtual ocean, I guess just want to share my thoughts so one day when (not if) I forget about them I have something to look back to.
